CarVue has today announced the acquisition of a franchised workshop software product, CustomerVue. The acquisition marks the birth of a new company: Autino.

Both CarVue and CustomerVue have a rich history of producing cutting-edge digital solutions for the motor industry since 2003, and the new name Autino reflects a fusion of their areas of expertise: Automotive Innovation.

“We’re really excited to announce that the two companies will be coming together in Autino. Today marks a major phase in our development and reinforces our belief that the motor industry is ripe for change and digital transformation. In recent years we’ve witnessed technology firms like AirBnB, Uber and Expedia revolutionise their industries by connecting lots of people to lots of suppliers. We see the automotive repair industry undergoing the same change and we’re now perfectly poised to drive this transformation ourselves.”

Carl Lightfoot, CEO of Autino

For CarVue customers it’s business as usual with no interruption to service. Where before the CarVue product was owned by CarVue Ltd, it’s now operated by Autino Limited.

What started today as a name change is just the beginning of more exciting developments to be announced.

With additional growth and investment in the business fuelled by Castrol Innoventures (BP), Autino are leading the digital disruption of the motor trade aftermarket with cloud software products like CarVue for independent garages, and CustomerVue for franchised aftersales operations.

CarVue has just partnered with Europe-leading vehicle data supplier TecAlliance to give users the ability to look up the parts, repair times and service schedules for any make and model of car in their workshop, from any device, anywhere and at any time.
